You dont use car paint on lexan shell's you use lexan paint as normal car paint only works on abs shells.
Also how can it effect the motor's operation? I am confused?? Anybody else?

Re read your post!
No not lexas paint you doo not need to go to halford's as non of there paint's will stick to lexan!!! You need to go to a hobby shop or an online shop like demon power products ect for LEXAN paint + you will need a new shell too!

In a word, no.

You need to spray the shell on the inside thats why it's not shiny.

Full size car paint and lexan paint is completely different.

Buy some lexan paint from a model shop and yes you spray the body shell on the inside..

The paint at Halfords will not be suitable...

Stampy? :)

So listen to us and take the advice on board. Halfords are not a model shop and the paint they sell isn't suitable.

Have a look at a model retailer for the paints etc.

Christ it tells you what you need in the Cougar SV manual....
