Tom Cockerill and Danny McGee TQ & Win at Southport National

The penultimate round of the 2010 BRCA 1/10th scale national off road series was held over the weekend of 17-18th July at the popular Southport model car club.

Danny McGee driving for Losi with the Losi / Atomic Carbon XXXCR2 took the TQ in 2WD and all three legs of the A final in real style to capture his fourth-ever national victory. 2WD series leader Tom Cockerill only just managed to hang onto his position - a tie on points with Tamiya's Lee Martin was the best he could achieve after a throw away score at Southport.

In the 4WD class the championship had already been well and truly sewn up by Lee Martin with his all-conquering Tamiya TRF511. Lee couldn't hold off Schumacher hero Tom Cockerill however from taking TQ and winning the first two legs of the A final to capture the win.

Got it last week - not at rhr. You might be thinking of the 2wd or a yokomo with ansmann stickers

Stu ran RHR with a Yokomo, dressed up as an X4-Pro because it hadn't arrived yet.

Its a lot like a Yokomo and many parts fit, but the centre drivetrain is higher (meaning higher CoG) to allow the rear driveshaft to clear a stick pack on the Blizzard.
