Young driver car insurance
Looking at getting my second car now but have no decent knowledge on insurance companies & most places I look are very expensive :(
Anyone know of any that are not going to be more expensive than the car itself!? Is it best to ring up for better prices or do it through the internet? |
Just do what i do and drive with no insurance, its ace:thumbsup:

Also had a trike, and several Bikes No license for the bikes Either! But that was 20 years ago, When you were pottering about as a youth in the late 80's the law had to catch you! Now They get you even when the sorn for your resto mini runs out! DVLA Bastards As for the insurance, buy a load of car mags and trawl through the ads at the back, You need a decent underwriter though and avoid Sabre and the admiral group, I fit windscreens for a living and i always ask the young lads how much they pay, Often the ones who have gone out and bought a bigger engined mid range car (renault laguna, rover 600) pay less than the hot hatch brigade as the hatches are are different grouping Hope this helped/ helps |

and that's why Mike and others are in the predicament their in due to actions like yours and the others that don't bother to pay their dues my brother was knocked of his motor bike by another motorcyclist who had no insurance back in the early 80's I'll keep an eye on this thread as I'll probably be funding my 17 year olds insurance in August |
Same boat as me as i am turning 17 in the end of october.
Just hope Glenn that its a daughter and not a son! Cheapest i have had for my 1.3l rover mini sprite auto is 2,800 third party fire & theft. It's around 3,400 fully comp. thats using Go compare for teenagers |

Buy an older Porsche. Honestly, its true, check the insurance websites.
Do pass plus with an instructor. I do it with my students. The most one lad saved was £1250 on his first car. Shop around a lot too. |

insurance has gone up for everyone not just young drivers. Due to the credit crunch and house insurance market having big claims due to flooding.

Fair enough but hardly relevant to the topic, how is Mike[or any young driver] going to get 9+ years NCB? with all due respect you are obviously not a "young driver" The other advice on "pass plus" seems much more usefull, best of luck with that. I feel physically ill when i have to pay my insurance, they are crooks. |
