What spacers to limit downstroke on 501x shocks
This is more about general damper set up question but I've got 501x shocks fitted to my Schumacher Procat so I thought I post here (got good replies before) I need to reduce the downstroke at the front so I'm going to put spacers under the pistons. The question is, does it matter if these are o-rings or alloy spacers? I presume alloy spacers are more precise. What do you guys do? Any advice appreciated.

anything can be used.
shims obviously work well as they are solid and will not compress. The o-rings could compress and your down travel could change (if your limiting to stop driveshafts coming out then this would not be ideal) The best thing to use would be plastic washers, as these will not damage the shock body if pushed down hard during a crash. I'm limiting the downstroke because there is too much downwards travel on my Procat i.e. the hubs are tilting. Of course, plastic washers would be best. Thanks for the advice.
