sorry another shock question
 

hi yall im running a x6 squared with ae shocks and have been doing for a few weeks and find it runs really well how ever looking at mine compared to a friends with losi shocks
the rear has no where near the same amount of travel
over the bumps it slaps it arse on the ground
i ve put heavfier oil moved the shock as to get max clearence but still the same not relly major issue but i was wondering if anyone had any advice
is there long shock bottoms that are availible

Are you running shock limiters, screw off the shock ends a couple of turns.

there on there last threads now anymore and they ll fall off:woot:

But as I said the ae work well just this little prob I'm bringing mine to nat this week end to try and sort it out

Maybe you should pack up few O rings between the shockends and the shock body,, basically says to limit the shock up moving.

I use 6mm up way limiting to avoid the chassie bump and it works well.

to decrease the piston holes is also a way to pack up the shocks earlier after hard landing, but it can affect other properties.

Try one of this.

I think the Losi shock are great, but if the car is sold with Asso shocks, X Factory should give us the support and solutions to set up the car with them.

What holes are you using in your rear wishbones for lower shock mounting? and what overall length (centre of hole to centre of hole) are you running your rear shocks at?

It will not be an "oil" issue but purely making sure the shocks are the correct length and have the correct amount of up travel too

You should be able to get pretty much the same droop with the AE shocks as with the Losi ones.

Also what pistons are you running in the back?I found I needed number 2's.

Any probs come and find one of us this weekend and we can have a good look at it for you.

We support three different brands of shocks on our set-up sheets. We think you get almost identical performance for all three. Various Team drivers use various brands -- we allow them complete freedom.

thanks to all and darren im all packed up now ready for the nat but i know they are new shocks bought at xmas for b4 rear as far as im aware there the right ones
im using losi red pistons at mo ,got told to put them in but i do have loads of ae ones as well so it easy enough for me to change them
