DEX410 v 410R

Are there people out there running an R version who have had and run the pro version ? What do you think of it ? Does the price tag reflect in any way over the quality ? Other than the alloy parts, rubber boots and roll bars are the chassis and the diffs and shocks the same ? Sorry for all the questions :) thanks in advance to my soon to be fellow durangoinions

I have the pro spec version.

In my opinion the 2mm driveshafts and the and the platicsides are the option for an perfeckt car.

I drive the durango sice january and i have a very big problem with the 1,5mm driveshaft's. But with the new the problem is away.

(soory for my bad english)

I tested a prototype R spec over the winter more or less back to back with the pro version on carpet. The difference was very small but did seem to be slightly less sharp and a little bit more forgiving due to the slightly increased chassis flex given by the plastic side rails which could well suit the majority of drivers. As I said though this was on carpet so the difference would be more noticeable. As for the shocks and diffs they are identical other than the boots. Bargain!

What diff oil is included in the R kit?

I ran mine today at the regional at broxtowe.

I've been running so far with the pro spec car, and to be honest they're pretty damn close in performance. Shaun ran my old pro spec car and on our 'fastest' runs, we were only seperated by .05secs!! over the five mins!!.

i think on grass the car felt like it wanted to bite more going into corners, but as the grass wore down the car felt more balanced and was just as quick as my old pro spec car, and faster than other pro spec cars around me. I'll sort a set up out at some point and post it for people. :)

Thanks Tel for your input, still can't decide

I'd say that if you already have a DEX410 then a quick upgrade with the 2mm stuff would suffice.

If you don't have a durango and are on a budget, then the R is well worth getting. :)

:)

But after only one meeting its dificult to tell if the R is better or not.
Its the National at southport next weekend so I'll be able to give a better view of it performance of astroturf/mixed surface. :)

I'll be spectating all weekend Tel, plus it's one of my "local" tracks.

Does anyone know if there will be any upgrades on the dex410 like 2mm pinns etc?
it has been out of stock for a while, wondering if they are working on some?

Pretty sure the re-released 410 pro will have the 2mm pins

the 410 pro is gonna need a lot of updating on TD's part to be up to par with the 410r

every (most**) problem that came to light on my 410 has been addressed on the 410r . . . . . When i last asked about the 410 being updated, i was given a big no, but this may have changed

As for the 410 vs. 410r, i just used the TD website to "build" a car with all of the upgrades i could possibly want, and the 410r was $100 cheaper than the Pro, and has all of the fixes on it. . . . .

IMO to take the 410 pro up to par with the 410R it would be a $900 car:bored:

I dont think it would be that much really. Theres not a whole load to replace to make the Pro bullet proof.
And don't forget that the added items to a new spec car would replace older items, not add to them. So its no good just adding the price of new items to the price of a pro car. You would be deleting the prices of the older items first.

..if that makes sense?
