what sort of gearing would you use on an 8.5 motor cheers :thumbsup:

i used a 20T pinion gear or 21

think i ran about 21 with a 6.5, so i would go up to at least a 23

i am having the same dilema with a 9 turn motor ! i have been told to use a 24t to 26t pinion:confused:

i'd start at 23-24 and see how it goes and how hot things get. then move up a tooth each run to find the best balance.

I have a 8.5T I run with a 24t and 80t spur... I think I could run with a 25t, or maybe a 26t.

So, try 24 or 25 :)
