cougar sv 2nd batch

does ne1 know wen these will be in shops? and will all the minor issues have been fixed?

benknight13 07-07-2010 09:03 PM

HI ste

Just been on phone to Shumacher today asking about this, they said there is no date as yet but there hoping to have them in the next few weeks but could not give me any date as yet. So fingers crossed they will be in the shops soon.

The problems with the gear box, there is a new layshaft to replace the old one which, i am running the new one and works Great (Pins do not come out) so i would think they would come with the new kits as its replaced the old layshaft.

Thanks
Ben

If buying a kit in a couple of months time, how are you going to tell if it's from the 1st or 2nd batch which includes the modifications? :eh?:

Hi Ben

Where can we get new lay shaft from?

benknight13 07-07-2010 09:16 PM

bolton model mart- 01204 382 282 (we have them in stock just ring and ask for Ben and i will sort it out for you) got a few in stock the pins are a press fit you do not use the orings with these as the ends are bent over so you cant get the pins out.

There is no 1st batch left so the 2nd batch you will know as Schumacher have them instock.

Thanks
Ben

Sorry to highjack this Cougar thread, but does anybody know if there has been a similar situation with the SX2? Was the first batch fine, or has there been revised batches to fix any issues.

I only ask because I'm about to buy one and didn't want to buy one from an old batch.

By the way, what's wrong with the gold turnbuckles?

Cheers.

Bendy

They easily bend! With a high spec kit why didn't Schumacher inc.titanium turnbuckles to put the icing on the cake? Changing mine to Lunsford ones, only steering links to do now.

Any idea which RC shop sells the Lunsford ones to fit the CAT?

No problems with the sx buddy

Just make sure you get all the alloy bits etc you need from the old cat
Dont get me wrong you dont need all of them but for reliability and strength and ease of setting up they work well indeed!
