LRP x11 Magnet strength

Firstly Hello, this is my first post. I used to race several years ago and have only just returned. I bought my first brushless motor (an LRP X12) and this felt just like the old brushed motors when tuning the shaft i.e Good strong magnets that give a lumpy effect (you know what I mean :woot:) This motor is fantastic and seriously quick but after hearing problems with bearings etc I thought it wise to buy a spare motor.
Hence I bought a used LRP X11 that I recieved this morning. - This feels smooth to turn (as if there is far less magnatism) Is this normal or are the magnets on my used X11 a little on the nakered side (The motor looks mint as if hardly used though).
I'm sure it's fine but just wondered if this was a normal difference between these 2 motors.

It could be a few things, there is a few different sized rotors that are available for that motor and it might still have the original bonded rotor in it. To be sure you'll need to take the rotor out to see what you have.

Do both motors have the same wind/turns?

Thanks. As far as I know it is completely original. Is a bonded rotor not good then?

X12 has 6.5 turns
X11 has 5.5 turns

X12 has 6.5 turns
X11 has 5.5 turns

Sintered is much more efficient and reliable

The lower the wind = less 'cogging'.

The x12 has a lot stronger magnets than other motors than I have felt.
