Is this so you can get your own back for our ATTK tyres?
Will have to invest in a set.
Only question is will they be in stock for the RRCI event?

graveltrap 28-06-2010 11:57 PM

RRCI event is due to be run on the dirt, however it would be good to see how they perform on the Astro against the clock!

wezzer 30-06-2010 09:19 AM

i shall bring them along on the saturday , if i can get my butt into gear and get a sc built

These things are weird, compound is super hard almost plastic.

Not tried them yet, just levering them onto a set of wheels...

graveltrap 31-07-2010 07:04 PM

So I got to try these out today, I just stuck a pair on the rear, with a used set of AE SC inserts. Track was dry so I could also do with running them in the wet.

They provided a massive amount of traction on both grass and astro, however due to the compound the stone corner on the CMCC astro track proved to be troublesome...The tyres offered no grip at all on that surface at all, the car would just spin out, I couldn't really push it there like I am used to doing with the kit tyres!

I think I do need a pair for the front, all be it with a few rows of spikes trimmed off, basically I need more steering in the tighter sections, the car pushed like a boat!

All in all a good effort, but the compound needs to be softer, so as to get a bit of bite on hard surfaces such as concrete, stone, or even wood (they do appear in a fair few tracks).
