CAT SX One-Way Pulley Problem

Hi Guys,

Once again i need your help. I failed to land my CAT SX from a big jump and it took a heavy impact, since then my one-way pulley moves both ways!

I've taken it apart and found that the bearing is actually slipping inside the pulley, with the bearing removed from the pulley i've put it on the shaft and the one way bearing itself is working fine, it locks in one direction as it should so the problem has to be that the bearing isn't fixing into the pulley properly.

Should this bearing be able to come out and maybe it's a case that something isn't done up tight enough or is it normally glued in place at the factory?

Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks, Nick

It should be glued in place inside the pulley. It's not ideal, but i have fixed them with normal super glue before!

As matt has already said mate superglue it in, but make sure you don't get any glue on the needle bearings !!!!

Mine did the same and I used threadlock to fix it.

Brilliant, thanks everyone for your replies.

I figured gluing it may be the solution, but i wanted to check that i'd not overlooked something silly and that gluing was a tried and trusted method.

I'm hoping a superglue gel will give a bit more control to help avoid getting it in the needle rollers!
