Fastest 4 Wheel Buggy

Just wanted to know what the fastest 4 wheel is. Same everything motors, batteries etc. Thx,

:)

Spencer Mulcahy 03-08-2007 07:42 AM

Xtreme racing Prodator as the running gear is so free and there are no shock towers to disturb air flow.:)

The fastest buggy is always the one with the best thumbs behind the tranny. A fast driver will always be fast.

Well, to make the fastest 4wd buggy (in a straight line) you buy the one with the widest chassis and fit a model turbine engine into it

And to not sound like im taking the mick i rekon a XX-4 with a novak 3.5R will be the fastest...... just maybe :p

gramey 03-08-2007 12:28 PM

:) I no longer own one but I'd have to go with the Predator, it has the smoothest drive train of any rc car I've picked up, it was ballisitc.
Unfortunately I could never get it to suit my style of driving/crashing (delete as applicable).:)

so the car with the most belts and drivetrain drag is going to be the fastest? :o

DCM 03-08-2007 12:37 PM

on that premis, a Top Force with brushless and lipo.... heehee

millzy 03-08-2007 12:39 PM

xx4 wouldnt take a lipo pack the old bj4 none worlds could, and with a 3.5 brushluss i think could be megga quick i read on rc10b4 that one of the team drivers for ae said he ran a super light b4 with 8000mah lipo pack that took over 2 hours to charge....stick that in your 4wd

i belive the new world record for a rc car is 134.4mph and have seen the vid

you need to be logged in to see it
ok so heres the youtube version
Nic Case ran his Schumacher Fusion which he converted to electric at 127.2 mph as the fastest run and also 119.3 mph as the second fastest run, although did not break his previous record of 134.4 mph from last year. It was extremely windy and possibly too much VHT was put down.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Tony lovering (ic) is from the uk and funded all his own expenses.
he would have topped the 100mph bar a bit of a big accident!

Lots more info (and access to the video) on the official thread over at Radio Control Zone. http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/f...play.php?f=342
The 134mph record was with an electric converted Nitro TC3. Nic managed a run at 160mph last year with a 2wd Custom Works Intimidator, but didn'y complete a second run.
