Would anyone be interested ?
Carbon bits...I'm about to make my first set of Carbon Fibre hop-ups for my Master Smacker, if these work I'll make some for my Royal Flash.
If there is enough interest I might make more for other people...and a small cost of course :D Here is a render of the current design...will be cnc'ing them on my mill at the weekend. http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/6...ontowers01.jpg J |
what does that small cost mean? :)
And would you make them for mad rat as well? |
What could you do with carbon fiber ? all we want ?
|
I can mill most things, have a 2.5d cnc milling machine.
Most Flat items are very possible. I'm going to be doing the centre brace for the Master/Flash also. I might even do a complete chassis for the Master/Flash if these first few items work well. Cost wise...I'm not too sure, would have to be enough to cover the cost of the CF sheet, but it would not be too expensive as it would be to order rather then having to pay up front for lots of materials. Once I find out how these work I'll be able to judge things better. And yes, I will be doing some Madrat designs also. Once I have a master tool made in 3D then that's the bulk of the work done...just send it to the mill and it 'prints' it using the cutter...can do alloy also, but that's very expensive for the materials, so will be sticking with CF stuff for now. The next couple of weeks will allow me to judge how this will work :) J |
Keep us up to date. If you can produce the parts at a good price, I don't see why we wouldn't buy them from you.

Me too for mad rat / X pro

Hey keylon! Any news about your CF spares?
|
Have been playing around with some stuff..looks like the milling machine will need some more work before I can do proper forms, it's having a hard time with curves. I know how to fix it, but will take a bit of time.
Still... the future looks good :) J |
what about a shock tower for a 1/8th buggy It would prob be 2-3 at the most for my Caster zx-1.5r and how thick would the cf be
