I worked on this
Was mooching on Tels site, on the cotswolds pics..... and just seen this
http://www.telsshells.com/IMG_1785a.jpg I was involved in many parts of its restoration |
what is it,a mitchell or lincoln bomber(thinking its the latter?)
|
Now that's cool....
I worked on this, but it's not quite as cool. http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/image...QL._SS400_.jpg Barbie and Horses: What girl wouldn't love this!, November 25, 2004 |
Jimmy can you put in a good word with her for me sheeeeeee nice :)
lol |
Ryan you would'nt like her she's had more plastic surgery than Michael Jackson
|
cool thread...
I worked on the battery for this.... http://www.dwra.net/dwrastreamliner.htm a bit bigger than your normal 7.2V NiMH battery... ps. which bit did you do jimmy? did Milzy choose the colours? |
I resealed half of the fuel tanks, and took part in remanufacturing the gun turrets, part of the cockpit, as all the acrylic windows had loads of spider cracks. Flaps and some other bits and peices....
Was awesome when it was finally together, they took it out for it's first engine start, and realised they got the firing order arse backwards. |
I worked on this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gizmondo#UK_release Makes interesting reading! Pitty they were a bunch of crooks, still they gave me lots of money lol |
My friend worked on Gizmondo also in Sweden - but I think everyone knew it was a joke loooooong before they were exposed. My friend only went to gizmondo to get his foot into Sweden.
|
we were doing the hardware and the UI, my mate was still working on the UI for about a year after I was made redundant, 2 other friends and x directors of the company I went to work for gametrac/gizmondo and were owed money. If you read about them they were just loosing money, they gave our team a bonus 25K for a weeks work, they just didn't care! Of course at the time we didn't know what they were like
|
Weird! - We did some work on the battery for it. It was a single lithium ion prismatic, I still have the SLA models in my desk somewhere... as you said, it was a joke. Never a chance of taking off. Lots of people lost lost of money over that thing... <<shudder>>
|
If I remember the original battery was a nokia phone one in the demos, I still have the RevA pcb at home.
I kept saying at every project meeting, its useless its not a phone, hey but what do I know :D |
I thought it was a lancaster. or do I just not know my planes?
I know there was a spitfire and a hurricane to accompany it....... ......awesome sound!;) I didn't realy do any work on 'anything' in particular. I've done a lot of work on a LOT of corporate company logos....not much to bragg about realy.:( I helped make the reflective parts on police uniform and kit for 10yrs.....does that count?:) ...oh and doesn't barbie know that redrum was mulched up and put into pukka pies years ago? why is she still trying solve the mystery of the missing horse? |

you might be right tel,i just remember seeing a kit of a big lincoln bomber and it looked the same
having found a couple of pics they look similiar..altho the lancaster does seem to have upturned wings rather than flat like the lincoln.. lancaster http://www.richard-seaman.com/Aircra...terBanking.jpg lincoln http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/equ...er/lincoln.jpg |
I think its the lancaster then, cos the one on my pickie has the wings angled upwards.
cool:) |
I think the wings are upturned like that because its in flight, i think most aircraft do that, or i could be wrong
|
Such a beautiful machine, love every detail of it - the sound is just to die for though, all WWII planes sound cool

I don't think I do to be honest G, but it was widely regarded as the best Barbie game ever! :D But I worked on this also http://www.mobygames.com/images/cove...1527980-00.jpg |
It's a Lancaster. The Lincoln has different shape radiators ans turrets (and is slightly larger but you can't tell from these pics).
You're british ! Know you history !! The Lancaster was a real war winner alongside the Spitfire ! :D I have an RC version of it (i fly too :) ) WWII planes are some of the most beautifull machines ever made ! and the sound of the engines is the best ever. |
