brushless

hi i have read in some places that its ok to lower epa but then others say its not a good idea, what do you guys think? im using a 5700kv atm and want more, but 6900 seems to have a lot more power and would like to drop the epa down to use the 6900 so i can slowly higher it as i get use to the more power, is this ok or not a good idea? cheers

you can do it it tends to make the car feel really mushy on the throttle though

I have tried this with my 5.5 motor in my B4 (which is a bit too much power on grass)

The car was much calmer to drive with it overgeared and with the end point turned down.

With a brushed motor the overgearing would make it get hot, where as a brushless wont be affected in the same way. So its safe to drop the end point with brushless.

Give it a try and see how you get on, I dont think you can damage anything.

However it might be just as effective to use some exponential on the throttle giving you a higher top speed but more low end control.
