Ez runs are ok but defineatly go for the next esc size up that little 35Amp jobby will thermal get this one if any a couple of guys have used them and the seem fine, also just a word of advice never buy an losi xcelorin :woot: no matter how much of a bargain it looks... the motors are good but thats it.

Basically the Losi systems had a problem in there firmware, when SOME people updated there speed controllers it corrupt the firmware deeming it useless then has to be repaired or replaced.

Not a good idea Andy - not in the Ansmann Short Course, which is just a Madrat SC. For that you'll find the 5.5t Andy linked far too powerful - you want the 8.5t version.
Otherwise though its an excellent system, and more reliable than some costing 2 or 3x more.
The other good option for a Short Course is this which seems popular for those racing trucks.

im going to fit the ez run into it and sell the losi one :D

Strangely the Losi sensorless system found in the Speed T appears to be slightly less explosive than the sensored version - but I think the Ezrun is still better, especially a 2.0 version.

hammerhead 22-05-2010 06:11 PM

i went for the speed t rather than the ansmann as i have owend a few losis and i do like them they seem to be as tough as old boots but i will defenatly change over the motor and esc as for batterys whats the best lipo i can get for the 1.10 scale that will fit the speed t
