pit box
After watching Junior Apprentice tonight, I'm looking into making a pit box, so my question is, what do we want out of our pit boxes?
At the moment, I imagine it being very similar to a poly butler on wheels, where the fold down section is rubber coated so as and when you drop screws, they don't bounce all over the place, and a fold up section at the top to put drivers (screw and hex) in. |
So many ideas but I can't get them out of my head ! :)

I just bought this two years ago http://www.pdysystems.com/

Wow ! Where did you get it from and how much ?

I managed to blag it from a shop who had it as a sample, but there may be someone bringing them in soon, I have asked.

Loads of boxes like those in fishing shops, prices range from not to bad...to OMG, do I live in it price:woot:.
I get all my plastic parts boxes from there, daiwa on the front =£4.50ish, same box with yokomo etc on the front from LHS about 15 quid:confused::lol: |
I find my F8 hauler works a treat when it comes to a pit box. I've seen so many poly boxes held together with rivets and cable ties :(
I suppose you could take the 'lid' of the hauler and make it solid then have some system to support it when opened 180 to make a small table when open if you really wanted to |
The problem with a pit box, it got to be small enough to be convenient, big enough to carry what you need and not to heavy. Many a time I seen people with F8 haulers they can't lift lol
