What lipo Charger are you using?
Hi people
Have bought a Losi 8ight E and have found that my Core UDC 20 charger will only charge the 4 cell lipo at 3.4 amps, takes about 2 hours :(. So i was wondering what chargers you guys are using? Thanks in advance Chris B |
I use the Turnigy Accucel -6 $25 at hobbycity.com. It is the same as the Core RC UDC-20 fuctionwise. In fact those chargers have about a dozen other clone sister and brother chargers under different manufacturers names, box/case designs & colors but are identical in function and operation. Infact I have used versions like the UDC-20 and the buttons are hard to press, brake and has poor cooling. The Accucel-6 has bigger buttons and great cooling plus it does up to 6cell this one does not. Wow that UDC-20 is one of the 'bad' knock off clones come to think of it.
This Accucel-6 charges everything out there up to 6A and this whole set up of 3 with power source (also from hobbycity) is just over $100 us dollars. And it stacks clean and nicely in my drawers/toolboxes http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...wipf/ACC62.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...f/IMG_0880.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...f/IMG_0881.jpg |

I am using Hyperion 0615i DUO III and find it fantastic as it does everything and it does it well.

its 50w so it can only give 3.4 amps to a 4s V x A = W 14.8 x 3.4 = 50 I found this charger today http://www.himodel.com/electric/VIST...r_EV-680A.html but the postage cost is to high for me  i think you better off getting the I charger they are my all reports the best.. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idproduct=6792 |
Yes the icharger is good I use the 208b

Thanks for all the replys, has been a great help
Yeah, i sent the charger of to Schumacher and they said the same thing as Rvsinc. If you do V x A = W 14.8 x 3.4 = 50 and thats why its only charging up to 3.4A, but its ok charging my 7.4 V battery V x A = W 7.4 x 5.0 = 37 so that explains it. Not quite sure why feight's Core charger charges at 5 amps then? Is the UDC 30 rated at a higher Watt? |
