Lunsford.

Hi,

I sold a guy a set of Associated B4 Lunsford turnbuckles on Friday night after his SV ones broke. They were spot on.

Cheers,
Jimbo.

yeh AE b4 turnbuckles are the way to go.

I would not pay schumacher extortion amounts

bigred5765 17-05-2010 12:48 PM

the ae ones are just as dear if not slightly more than schuys

simoncrabb 17-05-2010 12:49 PM

The schumacher ones are jolly good value, about half the price of Tamiya ones!

a set of B4 ti turnbuckles cost $21.50US
a set of 2 schu turnbuckles cost $12.25US, but you need 3 sets of the schu's ones. So your looking at around $37US for a set of schumacher ti turnbuckles.

so schu's are nearly twice the amount.

bigred5765 18-05-2010 09:28 AM

no you only need change the front one's on the top camber links theres no need to change the rest,in the uk ae ones are £24 schuys are £30 so only £6 in it even if you buy all 3,

You need to take those rose tinted glasses off Carl, Schuey ones are £10.99 per pair the AE ones are £6.99 per pair or £18 for a complete set of 6.

Whichever angle you look at that, AE ones are cheaper by a LONG way.

To add, Lunsford ones are only £7.49 per pair, FMAX start from £3.99 per pair and the X-Factory ones start at £6.99 per pair, all a lot less than Schuey on this particular item, this time around.

Next they will tell us there are no options for the Cougar, that the dremel is never used on it and that it does not need any brass weight too LOL (all of which have been discussed in the last few days on here)

Cos they are nearly half the price, or you can have plain titanium like all the other cars do..............

bigred5765 18-05-2010 02:20 PM

Darren taken of your own site
as1282 blue titanium turnbuckle set (rc10b4) £23.56 not £18 as you quoted
and you have just taken the highest price you can find for schuy turnbuckles they can be bought for less, £9.99 each of your own site u2566x it will always be dearer to buy one set at a time

Darren Boyle 18-05-2010 02:44 PM

Love it, dont waste too much time on your point Carl, we are £9.99 on Schumacher turnbuckles since we have stock since before they rose in price, I was not looking to promote my shops lower prices, but thanks any way. The RRP on Schumacher turnbuckles is £10.99..........

The reason I quoted one pair fom Schumacher is because they dont do a set

If you read what I wrote, I also said that Lunsford, AE, FMAX and X-factory have individual pairs for a lot less and the set at £18 (well its £18.99 actually - my bad) is from the brand leader in titanium - Lunsford (part number number L2005 if you wish to check up on me ;))

bigred5765 18-05-2010 02:49 PM

wonder how long it would take you to reply, i can go make a brew now ;)
