501/511 turnbuckles

On my 501 the nut shape on the turnbuckles to adjust them is tiny , is there a decent wrench for them??

Or is it better to change the turnbuckles ?

How much are those nice blue tamiya ones and do they have a larger flat for adjustment?

Those nice Tamiya blue ones are about £20 a PAIR!

But they do have a proper sized nut on them...

I went cheap with 3racing ones...

Don't buy the 'hard' Tamiya's. They are still made of cheese, just parmesan and not cheddar. Another case of looks before functionality, when will I learn...?

I'm looking for some replacements for the aforementioned hard ones and am looking at 3 racing. Any thoughts, good or bad?

I found some of the Tamiya blue turnbuckles $24.00 a pair! :o

They look pretty but thats just too much for me!

Maybe the 3 racing ones are an option?

Do lunsford do a kit??

Associated makes many lengths of their blue turnbuckles. I just matched up the Tamiya lengths with AE and ordered some and a few spares. AE blue turnbuckles do come in pairs, FYI. I do not have the lengths I purchased last year though, sorry.

I've used Lunsford for a long time and never had a problem. They also sell a custom fit tool for <$4.

I think I have got a new spare set of the blue tamiya trf turnbuckles but I need to make sure that the 201 I've ordered from the USA comes with them as STD before I sell them. Should be here by mid June if you aren't in a rush.

Ive bought associated blue ones as they are much cheaper.
