Cougar SV vs X-6
 

I would like to know how the new Cougar SV compares to the X-6 for those who have driven both? Are lap times faster, bump handling, jumping etc. What is the front to rear ratio of the Cougar?

not sure what you mean front to rear ratio, but the overall ratio is 2.6 same as the b4, but u can go up and down using external gears

sorry cant help there never checked the weight balance,would only get into something like that if a had problems with the car,

Has anyone tried the car on tracks that are blue groove and or hard packed clay dirt? If so, how does the car do?

I would imagine that most cougar drivers have owned or at least driven x6's...Come on guys, Give us your honest opinion...:confused: I know its early days yet and it takes time get things right but so far how good/bad.

I've got both. I ran on carpet last night for first race meeting with Cougar. It is more nimble and flies better than my X6. It seemed to generate loads of grip even with well worn tyres. I'd previously ran the same tyres on my X6 and understeered rotten. To be fair to the X6 its probably down to set-up more than anything. Outdoors the X6 has always been really good in all areas. I love mine. Thats why I've kept it. Cant wait to go outdoors with the Cougar, but I'll have my X6 with me just in case its needed. Be assured that the Cougar is a brilliant car. I'd reccomend it to anyone.:D

How many increments can u adjust the tranny height? The X-6 goes from flat to .120". Also, does the motor height raise up too when u raise the tranny like the X-6 does?

I think the car will be QUICK! Tried mine for the first time last night indoors on half carpet half slippy but the set-up isn't quite there! Added about 100g under the battery (slightly more positioned right at the back) and I ran Mini-pins on the rear and Mini-spikes up front to try and get rid of the masses of front end it has, was better like this but not perfect. I'm going to persevere with the stick pack for now but got a number of things I want to try :)

Things to try

- More weight up back
- More caster
- 4 n 2 pound springs rather than 3.5 n 2.5 to loose some front end
- Different roll bar mounts of some sort so it actually works :p
- Flip front arms to extend wheelbase

Overall think this is guna be a mentally fast car indoors as it was pretty quick on a odd standard set-up :D

Have you mounted front wishbones other way round? It's supposed to calm front down a bit.

Oh that is also something I've thought about :D Meant to increase the wheelbase by a few mm isn't it? I think it's mostly to do with how the weight is distributed but yes, I'll add that to the list :D

ok so gave the car a go on clay.
and after some setup work the car got around the track verry good .
it whas already a lot quiker than the misses her X6 and responded a lt nicer too:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: .
but I am stil not there becaus it is twitche on the rear getting on trotle .
