Need ESC recommendation
 

I'm looking to upgrade the ESC in my B4 from the basic LRP unit it came with. At the moment I'm running a brushed motor and NimH packs but am aiming to make the jump to Lipos (first) then brushless at some point, so it makes sense to get something future-proof. I don't have a massive budget so any suggestions would be welcome!

Go for a used LRP TC Spec or Nosram Matrix Evo. They will run brushed or brushless motors and have lipo protection built in.

Easy to set up and reliable. Expect to pay £45 to £75 on here or Ebay

If new, I can recommend the Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF version Brushless ESC
and 8.5 v3.0 motor.
