Servo Saver nut loosening?

Hi,

Are any other Mad Rat/X-Pro owners having this problem: The green knurled servo saver nut on both our Rats keep loosening up, travelling up the thread till they reach the bearing at the top and bind it. Is there a way of locking the nut? I am considering fitting a nyloc instead... can't get my fingers in to adjust the knurled nut anyway.

Any solutions?

Sorry to resurrect an old topic but I'm having this exact issue with my Ansmann X2 pro.

Due to the nut loosening and binding up the steering I've stripped my Spektrum S6000 gears three times.

Even with threadlock on the nut, it works it's way loose after a couple of knocks.

It's definitely the binding causing the stripped servo gears because even after a crash, the steering is fine, then, when I least expect it,usually on a slow twisting section, bam! gears strip.

The manual's servo saver setting leaves a lot to be desired, it's way too stiff.

I'm about to fit a savox sc-1251mg and I don't want it to suffer the same fate as the Spektrum.

Any tips?

Try ptfe tape, works wonders

glue it up as long as you use a plastic servo horn you will be fine

Which parts do you glue up? The top and bottom sections with the 'V' ?

You glue the two plastic bits up then tighten the thumb nut down as far as it goes and its done
