btw if the Kyosho cups fit they'd be the best I think.. |
I've got the Serpent ones on my 501X right now. With the kit turnbuckles though there isn't a heck of a lot of rod in the rod end. I might switch over to some B4 titanium turnbuckles for the extra length - but the short serpent ball cups don't give a lot of adjustment.
I gave the car an immense beating and the ball cups never jumped off.. they aren't a direct fit though and have a bit of friction unless you are careful - so not ideal. On woodys car this weekend I tried some Hot Bodies D4 ball cups - but they are a smaller size and need HB ball studs too. But he didn't have a failure and they seem a good fit with the kit / kanzen ti turnbuckles. |
were did you get your serpent ones from jimmy
|
Elite Models / Elite models in Halifax is the UK Importer - but I'm sure other shops can get this stuff. I will post a few words on them soon maybe :) They are good, not ideal - but then I've not found anything that is yet. The Tamiya ones are good for a couple of meetings, then get progressively worse.

I'm using RPM bal cups. Had to change the ball studs to Schumachers
|
I use the ball cups from the RB5 Ultima on my car - no problems since I fitted them, plus they are the same size as the original ballstuds so no need to change other parts :)
|
ive got some white losi ballcups but need some ball studs with the same thread as the tamiya if anyone knows of any ?

Ahahah, those Tamiya ball cups are so crap! I popped them off twice today and did NOT even hit anything.
I'm going to order the Kyosho cups.. |
