Car Stereo
Anyone know any good deals on car stereos at the moment? Need a CD player one that takes IPOD / AUX input.

lee chorley is probably ur best bet dan

I saw Lee's car at Southport, I suspect he's into higher end stuff than I'm bothered about. It's only for Sarah's Ka over the standard one.
That said 2nd hand would be fine for a good price boss! |

I've got a half decent Sony one that takes USB and has Aux input etc, been sat in its box since I changed car.
Phone or PM me if your interested Dan. |
I'm a fan of the Alpine gear with the AI-Net connectivity. I have an alpine HU with an Alpine IPOD unit in my glove box.
Heard good things about Becker units too. |
it's been a while since I bought any car audio stuff but I've bought from these guys a few times http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/

Yep they do, ones with phono Aux in on the front for sub £100. You'll get the facia panel from Ebay, and you will need a Ford to ISO wiring harness, then possibly an aerial adaptor (looks like a bionic dogs dick)

Hardly used - will take £60 incl TNT Postage. |

Car audio direct are one of the best for products, price and service. Highly recommended. Alpine, Pioneer, JVC and kenwood all make good budget units. James |

no one has said it so i will, fords have a rather large stereo as standard and an aftermarket stereo will not fir unless you get a conversion pannel these are available for a few quid via ebay or a bit more from halfrauds etc
|
i am not a pro but i know a fair bit aout car entertainment, the ka i beleve has the 1.5 din, and most aftermarkets units are single din, (so dont go buying a dubble din and think you dont have to buy the adaptor as it wont fit without cutting away, alpine have started doing some pretty good units for good prices the last couple years now so they would come highly recomend and hold there price well second hand, while some radios may look more fancy, alphine put the researching bugject into whats inside the unit, not what it looks like for that chrisp perfect sound, also have a look on bass junkies, they can have some real bargins on there, and to make things cheaper for better radio, go for last years model, cus if you went brand new model its only going to be out of date couple months down the line untill a new one is released.
