Tech Support - Superb

Just spoken to tech support re an issue with a diff - Superb and I was shocked at the response.

This is why I'm sticking with this brand!

What was the issue with the diff mike ?

I'm very curious because I had my own diff troubles in the past. They're solved now following a small modification.

Whatever I did the new diff I recieved wouldn't stay done up. They've since replaced.

I put my old diff back in after a full rebuild and no probs.

First of all, you have to pay close attention to the installation of the C-clip, like mentioned in another thread here. Make sure the clip isn't overstretched after installation. It shouldn't move much in the groove.

This is the most important part.
Then I went further and did some "diff fixing overkill" after some of my diff screws broke off at the head.

This is a personal preference, but I never liked the original CAT diff screw system (with the 1,5mm hex counterscrew). So I drilled out the M3 thread in the hub, took a longer screw (with a stronger 2,5mm head) and simply used a classic M3 locknut to tighten the diff. Again, this is a personal preference but I prefer this method of thightening the diff over the original 1,5mm hex counterscrew.
