Oxidised alloy wheels?
Going to see a car tonight but even in the photos I can see the wheels have had better days. Is this a problem other than visually? If so can you rub off the oxidisation and paint (I've painted alloy wheels before with the paint you get in Halfords).
I should point out this is on a cheap car, so it doesn't need to look perfect. |
Ben Jem is the man to ask Dan - his Dad refurbs wheels for a living

Indeed he does, he rounded out a square wheel for me previous (a very skillfull man). However this is a cheap as chips special so effectivly it's DIY or nothing.

Dan are they painted wheels or polished/dimond cut etc?
If its just a case of cheap way then just rub the wheels down and re-paint them. It will cost about £20-£30 all in |
I did some xr2i pepperpot wheels years ago, just used a wire brush attachment on a drill, wet and dry , wash, primer, paint and they looked like new for cheap as chips

Doesn't matter, it was a pup, big rip in the roof and every panel bar the bonnet needed painting. I wish people were a bit more honest in adverts :(
