Who will be racing 1/18th at this years Nationals?

For those who arent really aware...at this year's EGM we voted in 1/18th and 1/16th scales, split over 2WD and 4WD. Therefore there will be 4 classes this year.

This basically means that the likes of the TEK18T, RC18T/B, Atom etc will be able to race against each other in 1/18th 4WD whereas the ZT2, Mini-T and MXT will be able to race against each other in 2WD.

Who's going to be racing 18th scale this season then?

Ill be racing a ZT2 in 2WD and ive heard of afew more on the micro forum.

Any oOple-ites up for it?

Tempted to get my Blaze back up and running, but it's in bits for the most parts, however, I do have an RC18 (in bits) and an RC18R that I've not raced yet, but I'm not sure if the RC18R qualifies.

The RC18R would fit inside the box that's for sure!
You'd have to fit a truck or buggy shell to it to comply, but even then would you want to? Way too narrow.
Best bet would be to reassemble one of the other two.

Edit: I'll hopefully be running my RC18B at the nats this year

Well I could never get the Blaze running at nationals to any decent level, always had problems with the servo on the buggy RC18, and the RC18R is just sat there in my room looking sad that I've not raced it yet.

Was thinking earlier, that if we do eventually go for two day meetings, then one of those days should or could be for on-road micros.

stick the body & wider parts from the 18B onto the 18R, 'problem' solved!

It's very difficult to make a track that would please both off roaders and flat trackers. Not impossible though.
I think we've got a way to go before the two day meetings become feasible, lets hope that next season is succesful with the new class structure.

True, but you couldl have the on-road the day before, and then you have all those volunteers helping you setup the off-road track for the day after lol!

Might just try to rebuild the RC18R. Got a good chassis, got most of the parts I need and enough electrics. Actually considering going back to a brushed setup, as I've not had much luck with brushless so far, but I think that's mainly down to the setup of the speedo.
