501x shock tower

would it be a benifit to double up on the front shock tower or is it strong enough itself

Neil, just seal all the carbon edges with superglue or similar and you should be ok. You could always ask FibreLyte to make you a thicker one.

Some people of our club advised me to use a double front shocktower, as they broke the single ones quite often.

I saw a shocktower from Tech Racing on a TRF501 at the Belgian GP. it's about 1,5mm thicker compared to the stock one. The guy said he got it from ebay.

I run the Tech racing front shock tower and it is considerably thicker than the stock one, not sure how much difference it makes, as I have never broken the standard one.

Jimmy, I am the living embodiement of the phrase "drive it like you rented it" In short I am the daddy crasher.

I would like to put myself forward as a crash tester for anyone who is producing after market parts for the 501!!

In fact if possible Jimmy can you please change my status to crash magnet to reflect my lack of talent this month!!

:) If nobody else does, although I'm sure there are others that can vouch for the validity of this comment, I'll second it!:)
