Strange problem but I fixed it

Hiya,

I was on holiday down devon for 12 days anyhow. I got back home so thought I'd try my nitro car rs4 evo 3 hpi. The car would switch on receiver and the fail safe. So would the transmitter light on to but wouldn't communcate with the car. Tried all sorts charging batterys and checked wires no diffrence.

Anyway I took the crystals out no diffrence. So I swapped the crystal out of receiver and transmitter swapped them around it works!

Then put it back it all works now!

What the hell was going on here any ideas? Anybody else had a simular problem like this before?

Crystals are usually marked TX for transmitter and RX for receiver... :D

Hiya I've never swapped them around before. Also the smaller one for the reciever and bigger one for the transmitter. They where the correct way around at the time.

replace your crystals, there is probably a poor connection inside one of them and unplugging them may well have disturbed it and make it work again, have had this happen. swapping the crystals from tx to rx used to be used by some people in the eighties to try and avoid any interference, it does work but puts you on illegal and possibly insecure frequencies
