Set up sheet for a tc3 round bedworth

I am currentley running a reedy 27t stock geared correctley.
But i was struggling with set up all day so any advice would be greatfull.
Tires used were sorex 28r + muchmore sweep 32's

The TC3 basically needs the front shocks to be a lot stiffer than the rear, as they are mounted much further in on the wishbones.

Front shock springs; 25lbs
Front shock oil; 70wt
Rear shock springs; 18lbs
Rear shock oil; 40wt
Piston wise, you want the ones with the biggest holes (can't remember the AE numbering system).

3deg toe-in at the rear
0deg toe-in at the front

1.5deg camber at the back
1deg camber at the front

4deg castor

You probably want the cells in the front position (assuming you're running NiMh). If you're running lipo then you'll need to get it on some scales or balance buttons and add a load of lead to get it balanced.

If you're still struggling next time, bring the car over and I'll have a look.

cheers dale also i need to know which hole is best to mount the shocks onto the shock towers and setting up the diff's front and rear.

I'd start with the middle hole on the shock towers and outer hole on the wishbones, both front and rear.

Adjust the diffs by removing them from the car. Hold the diff using two allen keys or spanners (basically anything that will fit in the outdrives) going across the outdrives to prevent them turning. Test the slip by trying to turn the diff gear.

Generally you want the front diff a bit tighter than the rear; gradually tighten the front until the gear doesn't slip. Tighten the rear so there is still a bit of slip (but it shouldn't turn easily).

Also what tyres should i need to get? ie sorex's 28r (which insert?) 30,32's?

If you've got tyre warmers, 32s should be fine throughout the summer. If not, you'll need some 28s for when its a bit cooler. 28s would have been right on Sunday.
