What an unusual layout, like nothing else on the market :wtf:

Oh I don't know, it looks an interesting way to mount the servo horn onto the steering servo.

jimmy 05-07-2007 02:12 PM

Agreed rich but it's a good layout you have to agree and if it makes a competitive car then the more the merrier I say :)

Richard Lowe 05-07-2007 02:15 PM

The real test though, is it a good enough design to please Mr Instone?! :D

jimmy 05-07-2007 02:16 PM

Don't you know rich, a shaft drive will NEVER win the worlds - so I doubt it!
:D:D:D

Richard Lowe 05-07-2007 02:19 PM

Damn I forgot about that!

Does that mean a 15 year old Laser is superior then :p

Lee 05-07-2007 02:25 PM

It might work if they put some kyosho gold shocks on it;)

jimmy 05-07-2007 02:30 PM

back to this though, I've not done anything with an SBv2 but I've held one and I know the chassis was too flexible - not sure if they solved that but it just had too many cut outs for cells (12!!!) this should be a lot better with the shorter top decks and stuff.

I like the layout, it looks like a well made car. From a glance it looks a little like the bj4!

PaulRotheram 05-07-2007 04:26 PM

hadnt noticed, i was too busy looking at the shocking wireing.. look at that ariel wire!!!!!

jimmy 05-07-2007 04:31 PM

man, that IS bad wiring! :D

GRIFF55 05-07-2007 04:35 PM

I like the switch fixing personally, Also i would of had to cable tie the aerial to the power cables:D

DCM 05-07-2007 06:48 PM

The wiring is done to allow Mr Instone to reminis about the days of unplugging Mr Mad Mike Bartons cells when it innevitably went out of control....

If that could mean a cheap car in that design, I would be tempted....

GRIFF55 05-07-2007 07:01 PM

Any ideas where i can get stuff anodised that colour in the uk??
