Those gearbox cases look like the finish on Atomic Carbon parts I've had Tim, wonder if they have a mad 4wd proto!?

That other car though is nothing to do with us. E |
Dave yeah that was what I thought when I saw the pic was the atomic, but when I saw the weird pulley system (see highlight in pic) on the front I thought of the X factory as they utilise the losi parts as well on the X6.

You will all get to see it on the track at Tally, but unlikey many will get to see it too close up....
I was going to say that the car in your picture looked liek an AC creation, lots of flat plate carbon (layered in some places), a Losi reverse rotation ESC, plus their last car had an orange wing too in the early pictures. Good luck to them, but as I have already said and E has confimed, nothing to do with our cars..... |
In the picture above paul seems to be working on a x5....

The test bed he ran at crcrc looked very much X5. It wasnt! lol

There are no Losi parts on an X - 6, unless the owner decides to use Losi shocks. The new Kit will come with AE shocks.
The cars you have seen in pix and at various tracks are test beds made out of old X - 5 chassies to test some new ideas. Some of those ideas are working, and we'll try out some changes on them and see what makes it through to the new 4WD car. Other ideas are not working so well. They may be modified and tried again on the next set of test bed cars, or those ideas may be trashed. The test bed cars give us an easy way to test things and move things around, but do not be confused -- they are not prototypes. They are simply a place to develop and test new ideas and concepts. |

Yes that is my test mule :D btw any speedo works, just the losi one was all i had at the time.
|
We thought we saw a shaft driven car in the hands of Mr Stafford last weekend at EPR when my mate marshalled it...
|
The Boyz have a lot of freedom to try almost anything with their test beds. I don't know for certain what's underneath any of the body shells. I heard a rumor one of them was going to try photon drive...
