XXX-cr rear end on XX4
I've seen some pics of XX4 with XXX-cr rear arms and maybe hubs. What is the benefit with that? And som white rear springs!:o Someone found a new setup?!!!
|
Darren B has this on his xx4, im not a huge losi nerd so i cant tell you what spring rate the whites are
I can tel you ive rn the xxxcr hubs and wishbones on the rear of my x5 and i felt it made the car better over bumps. |
I've put the Losi XXXCR rear wishbones (LOSA2132), rear hubs (LOSA2129) and rear mounts (LOSA2213) on my XX4. With green springs on the front and red at the rear it certainly handles the bumpy track down here at Coastal far better.
Won all six races first time out with this set-up so can't be too bad. |
Ahh, so it's for the bumps. What links, washers, vla etc did you use? Where to start?
|
I don't really see how it would be better over the bumps....

it moves the shocks further in board
and gives you vla on your hubs o and vertical ballstuds |
I tested this round CML, it the main advantage was the adjustement to stand the rear shocks up more and can shorten the arm setting for more rear end grip. Havent tested this to much but ran the ball stud in the middle hole which is slightly forward with one washer.

Currently using the middle mounting hole on the hub carrier with two spacer washers under the ball stud. Shock mounted on the outer hole of the suspension arm, Schumacher 20w oil with blue piston. Racing again this coming Sunday, so will have a chance to try different settings and see if it makes things better/worse |
