TRFs @ Taly

Just wondering who is running Tamiya cars @ Taly on 16th 17th April.
I'll be running a 511, and have a spare 501. If anyone is stuck for spares, give me a shout.

Also.. what setup are people starting on, now that they've seen the track. I'm starting on Hupo's setup from trfracing.co.uk ... anyone else?

And...Pidge... any chance there'll be some trfracing.co.uk stickers for sale @ Taly?

511 for me
Starting setup:
Front: 1.3 piston, 40wt, blue spring, outside hole on wishbone, second hole in on the tower
Rear: 1.4 piston, 30wt, red spring, middle hole on wishbone, third hole in on the tower
Short wheelbase on inner, long wheelbase on outer (hub)
5.5 Novak Ballistic geared 19 pinion 87 Associated spur

I'll be starting on Hupo's setup too, but am likely to raise rideheight a bit at some point.

i'm racing one!! got roughly the hupo setup on, minus weight at the front and the rudebits brass tray on. Shock positions in on top at the rear too.
This all might change by then tho!!

Good stuff, hope you're all willing to share setup tips throughout the day, it's my first national!

Seems everyone is running Hupo's setup.

I'll be running Associated springs on my 511.

I got the call from Paul tonight - I've made it from Reserve to IN!
See you all in sunny Wales - I'll bring the famous Scottish Sunshine with me... ;)

I'll be starting with Hupos setup and have deployed all DG's hopups from the TRFracing.co.uk website (front & rear alloy hubs), so have a bit more varied options with link angles, etc.

If anyone wants to stop by and say hello, I'll be down on Friday and will have the company banner (same artwork as the signature) on the side of the tent!

And my insomnia's kicked in big style, hence the time of this post! :woot:
I've tried going to bed, but I can't sleep...

I'm waiting on the same call, I'm currently R1 for 2wd and R3 for 4wd...

Fingers crossed the 511 gets a run!

And yes, that sort of set up - I've been running mine long wheelbase at the rear, but I might have to try it short, just to see, you know.

UNSURE.............

N7ELA 09-04-2010 06:33 PM

Looking at my standard club set up and it nearly identical to Hupo's set up on the TRF racing website.

Only thing is the sheet doesn't indicate the position of the rear upper arm position. The outside spacers are 4mm so he's not using standard hubs but on what hole is he running on the inside....???
