Phone problem

Just wondering if there is anything you can buy to eliminate noise on landline digital phones. Its like a whitenoise in the background but gets so bad we cant hear people talking or they hear us. Its been getting worse over the years. Im sure its something to do with the internet connection, so was thinking there may be something to plug into the phone connection before the router.

Change your micro filters, there prolly broken. The ones that come free are also useless so get somit decent (about 7 quid ish).

Also, take a look at BT's I Plates, there not bad but my guess is its the filters.

t'internet, think tesco's do them or PC world if you are stuck.

I've got 1 of these http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop...ProductID=1652 on mine (only have 1 socket and no extensions) works well.

As for the iPlate, same place if i recall correctly

Ok just found a spare one in the router packet. I have hard wired my router into the Bt box which the phone is connected to. Does this mean it wont be filtered or will the filter work on the phone ok.

Your router should go into the filter and the filter goes into the wall socket. Your phone goes into the phone section of the filter.

Don't forget, you need a filter on EACH extension, so if you only have 1 where your router is and other phones don't have them, thats where the noise is coming from.

my dad and bro both work for bt, pretty much everything plugged in should have a filter before it.
