Lipo Chassis

Hello folks,
Thinking about what 4WD to get and sorry if this has been answered before but...

Does the X11 come with the LiPo chassis now?
If not, can it be ordered with it instead of the slotted chassis? There isnt an option for this on the website.

Cheers!

Hello,

I do not know the answer, but...

...did you try to e-mail teamXtrem on this question ?
This experience could help you to answer to the question "Thinking about what 4WD to get"...

It doesn't as standard but they are available and team xtreme are willing to do a lipo ready car. However, it will cost a little more, but has the benefit of coming with the new orange steering links (which all the team use) which give more ackerman and more importantly are anodised orange...

You'll need to contact team xtreme to get that option as it's not yet available in the shop.

Lipo Chassis

Hi, I have seen the X11 'lipo chassis' now available for sale on both insidelineracing.co.uk and teamxtreme.co.uk (@insideline £35, @teamxtreme £35.65 before VAT). Is this compatible with X10/XRS parts?! I am guessing i will then want the orange steering arms to flip the steer arm onto the other side? anything else?

Also, there is a 'X11RS chassis' £29.79 (again, before VAT has been added) @teamxtreme (http://www.teamxtreme.co.uk/store/in...roducts_id=392)

The lipo chassis we have listed on insidelineracing is the rs chassis XC007RS which is the same as the one team x have listed at the cheaper price. It's a plastic version of the chassis which to be honest is the one to have and the one that the team tend to use.

You do need to either modify you existing steering arms or go for the orange links as you mention. We currently don't have the orange links in stock although will have a batch of them by the weekend.

Sorry if our title is confusing, I will change it.

Not confused now , thanks!
Nothing else needed though, apart from the chassis and the steering arm mod/upgrade?

KevLee 28-04-2010 05:19 PM

All you'll need on top of that is a battery strap as the production version isn't ready yet. Some people modify the carbon straps that are used in saddle layout. You'll also need posts but you can use the standard clip ones.

Hope that helps

Ok, thanks!

Just read you original post again; are you intending to convert an x10 to the x11 chassis. If so, I'd need to double check what you would need as I'm not so familiar with the x10 and I wouldn't want to give the wrong advice.

KevLee 28-04-2010 06:46 PM

Just spoke to someone that knows...

If you intend to update an X10 to an X11 chassis there is quite a lot to change... Hinge pins, hingle pin blocks, wishbones amongst other things.. From the sounds of it it's not really a viable option.

thanks Kev!
