flakeing paint

help needed to stop paint flakeing when spraying with cans.tryed the usual washing shell, scuffing with scoring pad and heater on shell between coats.tryed tamiya, pactra, and custom colur but always get some flakeing looks like paint has not bonded to shell properly.would a coat of nitro block first then left to fully harded help or would this dull the final finish? thanks rick.

if you prep the shell right, and spray right, it shouldn't flake.

you need to thoroughly wash the shell out, with fairy liquid and hot water, dry it with a lint free towel.

Spray somewhere warm, warm shell if possible, and with cans, warm the can in some hot water, and apply light coats, if your in a hurry, dry paint between coats with a hair dryer.

Light coats.
Sounds like the paint may be applied to thick?
If you try to rush it and do it in 1 or 2 coats then it may be to heavy and not flex properly, hence the flaking.
