Im running the following setup:

taken from Lee's petit winning car.

When racing in the Worksop series, it seems great, with one exception:
On power, the back of the car is very loose, and it's easy to end up pointing the wrong way on the first qtr of the straight.
It was driveable, rolling on the throttle more smoothly, however, there are times when you need to push harder, and the back end was stepping out.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to correct this? Im thinking of adding an extra 0.5 deg rear toe in??

Also, it is my first season of doing nationals, will this be a good starting setup for Talywain?

Any thoughts are welcome, thanks.

How about change the inside upper link spacers - he has 1mm, increase it to 3mm?

Would that give more rear end grip on exit from the corner?

Or have I got my thinking backwards? :confused:

Diff in 100% working order? Not gritty in any way? Forget about the setup if it is, the diff is the number 1 reason for most backend washouts.

I would recommend moving the rear dampers out one or two holes on the tower. If that doesn't do it remove the weight from the servo. Just my two cents....

I like this idea too. Try it & let us know if the rear is more stable.

why would you run lee martins setup from pettit race maritime is mainly carpet worksop is not.!

Phew, I wasn't talking nonsense!

I tried Hupo's setup at RHR, it was a bit too 'edgy' for my liking, but no doubt that's why it was fast! But yes, a great place to start.

I suspect Lee's Petit setup is a bit like that too - one for the better thumbs...
