2010 Outdoor Racing - change of venue

Hi guys,

We have been considering our options to improve the quality of outdoor racing for the 2010 season. In particular we wanted to find a venue which offered better facilities, easier setting-up/packing-away and a better race track.

We have therefore decided that we will race at the Bingham Rugby Club for the Summer 2010 Outdoor Championship.

The location of the Rugby Club can be found here:

http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/bingha...ndary=location

The outdoor season starts on Friday 14th May and continues until Friday 27th August, inclusive. We will be racing from 6.00pm until dusk.

Unfortunately we will only be able to offer off-road racing at this venue. After some discussion we have decided that the benefits of this venue outweigh this disadvantage. This is particularly true given that we have always traditionally focused on off-road racing in the summer and also given the very limited number of on-road drivers that attended last year's outdoor racing series. We hope that all WBMCC club members will understand & agree with this decision and continue to race at this new venue throughout the summer months.

The new venue will allow us to provide a larger off-road track, access to the bar for refreshments, and a significantly reduced set-up/pack-away workload. Race fees will be unchanged.

Don't forget, we are also hosting 2 rounds of the BRCA Mid-East Off-Road Regional championship again this year at this venue. The dates are:

4WD: 25th April
2WD: 20th June

If you want to compete against some of the best drivers in our region, you can book in for these meetings at www.me-or.com. There will also be an open class for 2WD on 25th April and 4WD on 27th June.

We look forward to a successful Summer 2010 series.

We will return to our usual indoor racing venue at West Bridgford School on the first Friday in September.

Yeh a good idea...Did you want me too take all the kit over one night, that will save hireing a van:confused:

Aran 31-03-2010 09:37 AM

sounds good to me :D. lets hope we have decent weather for it

If you do need a van let us know. I can use our work van.

Pat, you read my mind. We discussed how we are going to shift all the equipment over there and were going to ask if you could do it using your trailer. We'll need to get it all down to the Rugby Club for the 1st Regional on 25th April, so Sat 24th would be the ideal opportunity. We'll then leave most of it there and just use the small ramps for the last round of the indoor championship on 30th April. Any good for you? If not, then can I take you up on the offer of your work's van Wes?

wes j. 01-04-2010 08:15 PM

No probs paul ( if that who the doctor is?) If pat can't do it i will get the van:thumbsup:

The Doctor 01-04-2010 08:19 PM

Saturday the 24th ok for me....

The Doctor 02-04-2010 11:16 PM

OK Pat, that's great, can we make it a date then? We'll empty the shed & get all the stuff down to the Rugby Club. I'll link up with them to make sure it's all OK; shouldn't be a problem.

What tyres would you recommend for this type of racing?:eh?:
