511 shock towers

Are there any after-market shock towers for the 511?

I cracked a front one at the weekend.

Do (or could) Atomic Carbon or Fibrelyte do them, perhaps in a wee bit thicker?

Just search for 501X shock towers. Try vellrip.com.
3Racing makes shock towers for 501X. (rc-mushroom.com)

Tech Racing makes 4mm shock towers (front and rear). I know Jason store has the rear in stock, not sure if he has the 4mm front shock tower.

I made the mistake of buying the Tech Racing rear towers for my 511. The rear towers do not have the notch in them for the plastic rear body mount.

simon, it looks like rcmart still does have the 3Racing front towers in stock. I ordered 3 of them last week.

I've got the DB01 Atomic Carbon ones, and the 4mm front one is invincible it seems!

Thanks, I'll pm him!

Fibrelyte makes them, but they're a tad thinner though.

Its a drastic solution, but if you're handy with a dremel, you can manufacture new ones from other car parts.

I've already used both a XXX4G+ Front mount AND a HB D4 Rear Mount, as 511 Front mount. Geometry is very close to original and, well, I had it in the pitbox to try.

The 511 front mount is an easy target for a break point during a tumble, and have now taken the step to bond two XXX4 front mounts together to make one mega front mount.

I've danced the car on this one several times, with no sign of fracture or breakage.
It's about 6mm thick.

I know, it's shocking... But it works!
