My bad driving last night

There was a doofus on the track last night...... and it was me
I thought my car was handling a bit funny, despite doing nothing to it, except re-calibrate the speedo.

Unfortunately I forgot that I had previously set the throttle to 75% due to my inability to handle a 6.5T, but obviously the reset speedo recognised 75% on the tx throttle as 100%.

The upshot was a car that was way too fast for it's driver, hitting a jump badly thus flying into another car, which was also airborn but travelling in the other direction, and at least 4 spectators going "ooff, that sounds expensive".

Cost to me: a gearbox, 4 screws, a rear chassis plate plus a front arm.

The lesson I learned last night: Whenever resetting your speedo, make sure your tx is set to 100%.

On another note, what car did I hit?, the reason I ask is because I want one!!

Managed to fix it this morning and the repair bill has only come to £12, so not too bad. Only spotted the "cause" after I tested it this afternoon and found that it didn't go any quicker when I turned the power to 100%:woot:

Hmm, let me think about this...

Your Losi was always breaking when you had it, so you sold it to Lloyd.

Lloyd then kept breaking it, so I bought it from him for spares.

Now I am running your chassis everything seems fine.

How strange...

antnee 28-03-2010 12:29 AM

My B4 doesn't break all the time though!

Looks like you are getting the hang of this racing stuff Chris. That is the prefect example of a "racing drivers excuse".
