Powerplant Choice

Hello,
Deliberating on a new ESC/motor for racing 1/10. I have a fairly limited choice though and would love to hear everyone's opinion. Would be running a 10.5 - 17.5 motor.
The choices are...
Novac GTB
Novac Havoc Pro
Speedpassion LPF
Nosram Power Matrix
Nosram Matix Evolution SpecRacing

and if it's legal
Mamba Max Pro

Secondly out of the
Nosram Pure Evo Stock
Novak Ballistic Spec
motors, is there a general consensus on a better one, and will they work with any or all of the above Speedo's.

Thanks in advance.

Considering the choice of motors, something with timing advance would be optimal - I think that means either Speedpassion LPF (latest stock spec firmware) or Nosram Matrix Evolution SpecRacing.

The Mamba Max Pro has a lot going for it too, except compact size!

with the mamba max pro and the timing advance on it a 13.5 will be as quick as a mod car this feture of the spedo can make a massive difference when racing stock

I've heard that the Novak Motors don't handle the advance timing to well, because of the excess heat produced. Is that true, or is it all motors in general?

Some motors have timing already dialed in, and are not adjustable, but others have adjustable timing.

One ESC not on your list, is the Tekin RS Pro or RS which both have dual stage timing advance, small, compact and updateable.

and so does the new speedpassion gt2.1 stock spec

The Team Wave RB50 and RB-S do too.
