water water everywhere!

Well, what a night.

Hows the flooding where everyone is?

Its not to bad where I am, as we live on top of a hill, but all around is flooded and traffic is chaos.

Anyone got any pics of how bad it is near them?

emzy 26-06-2007 11:28 AM

It hardly rained at all here last night.... was just pretty windy!

Chequered Flag Racing 26-06-2007 11:29 AM

What flooding :wtf:

not in Teesside @ least

telboy 26-06-2007 11:45 AM

A friend sent me this picky as he was on his way to work.

Its about 1 mile away from my house.

emzy 26-06-2007 11:46 AM

BLOODY HELL.

That's the good thing about being literally a minute's walk from the sea - if I'm flooded, you KNOW we're in trouble.

Emzy,

Maybe we don't get it 'Up North' as we're higher up the country :) and water always runs downhill to find the lowest level ie 'The South' :D :D :D

I'll be eating my own words in a few days I bet :(

Southwell 26-06-2007 11:54 AM

No problems here south of London, bit of rain, but no flooding.

losidan 26-06-2007 11:58 AM

i've got a new swimming pool in my cellar.......smells lovely too

dave g 26-06-2007 12:03 PM

not too bad but the back garden was about 50% flooded out under about 6-8 inches of water at 11 oclock last night..im glad we have a raised pond as the fish would have been swimming out of the pond :)

unfortunately our village is quite low down and our house is at the low end, when we had the last bad rain the drain covers in the street had blown off and water was coming out of them at about 3 foot high !!
