hi guys

maybe on the look out for a new car currently have a vw bora 2ltr was looking for something abit more econmical with the current petrol prices what would you go for with around a £3000 budget ??

2nd Hand octavia diesel 1.9tdi?

Similiar size to yours, but more economical etc! Can't go wrong really

anything TDI imo. my 110bhp mk4 golf goes for 600+ miles on a tank of fuel if you're sensible and still nippy when you want to be.

the skoda equivalent will be the same just a different badge and cost less as Golf's seem to hold their money. You can get a lot more Bora than Golf for the same money. :)

yes i was looking at the golf tdi's they all seem really high mileage but for 3 grand suppose there going to be

mine's past the 1/4 mil mark and still on the original engine.
Doesn't smoke much at all. I take it to the redline once a week to clear out the zorst and stop the soot building up :)
owned it for just over 2 years now and haven't spent much on it at all apart from servicing and wheel bearings (18" wheels seem to wear those out :( ) also broken springs, but hardly the earth to replace
