What is currently the most sucessful 1/10th off-roader?

What's currently on the market that's won the most competitions etc?

I've seen these threads a couple of times before. From what I remember, it is the B4 thats won the most major competitions.

Gotta be the B4 surely. It won loads.

Yer has to be the B4, not many top notch, mass production cars have been around as many years, thus won as many major meetings

Original RC10 in it's varying guises must have won the most. I believe it won 7 2wd world championships and countless amounts of national series. Mind you it was around for a long time.

Is it the cars that are the actual winners, or is it down to the drivers? i.e. could the same drivers than win titles in one car, win it in another? Or are certain cars really that good?

Combination of the Driver and Car - They couldn't win if the car wasn't pretty good but equally with loads of experience and testing time etc you'd be amazed what people can get a bad car to perform like!

That vid I just posted of Masami Vs Brian Kinwald in the Photography area is a good indicator - two good drivers but i'd say the Losi XX BK is running was a pretty big step forward in those days compared to the old Tub chassis RC10 but Masami (being Masami) is still just as quick! The B2 came out not long after this vid though and cleaned up at the 95 worlds in Japan on it's first outing.
