wheels and tyres
 
hi there

i have just come back to car racing and am loving it. just thought someone may be able to tell me if there is a chemical to take off old tyres of wheels
if you could let me know

Acetone is the stuff to use.

You can get 5L for about £20 on ebay (delivered).

(1) Decant some of the acetone into an ice cream tub (eat ice cream first).
(2) Cut the main part of the tyre off so just the bead is left.
(3) Drop into the acetone and leave for 24 hours.
(4) Remove the bead of the tyre
(5) Leave for another 24 hours to make sure all the glue has disolved.
(6) Remove from acetone and wash wheels in the sink with soapy water.

Make sure you keep the lid on the aceone when your wheels are soaking as it evaporates real quick.

hi mark acetone is indeed a solution u can use to remove tyre from rims,
but if your local IE northwest northeast, ask about for car latham and ill have some slightly safer, and slightly better stuff, o and its cheaper as well,if not pm me ill send u details
