Which receiver for 3GR 2.4GHZ?

Trying to get hold of a second receiever to use with my 2.4ghz Futaba 3GR.

Anyone know if I can get one of the Spektrum receivers to work? (Cheaper than the futaba.)

Cheers

futaba receivers

Hi there ,iv'e asked the same question, everyone says only futaba will work(603ff,604fs).expensive aren't they. The cheapest iv'e found on e-bay is in dinball over in the east about £50-£60 and postage.Haven't tried specktrum yet.

I am having the same problem and in fact looking to get rid of my 3gr and get one of those new core rc ones the controller and reciver is £90 and a second reciver is £30.

A much cheaper option

Futaba and Spektrum use two different methods. The Futaba jumps between frequency slots every few milliseconds, Spektrum uses two slots. Unless something has changed that I have not heard about, they are not compatible :(

Definately not compatible, as Stuey has said they actually use completely different types of 2.4ghz systems, as do all the manufacturers, so no mix and match like on 27/40mhz etc.

So far, as far as I know, the Tx and Rx need to be matching products to work when using 2.4Ghz...unless they all decide to share a standard sometime in the future?!?!
