YO32 9WT This is the post code for the Huntington School. I believe that's where the racing takes place.

_sleigh_ 19-06-2007 08:22 AM

I'm not a local, but I'm 99.9% sure that map isn't for the Huntingdon School. So one of you is mistaken. :o

emzy 19-06-2007 08:43 AM

The outdoor regional isn't at Huntington - only the indoor racing is.

Outdoors are held in Wigginton aren't they?! Or you follow a sign for Wigginton at some point?

Northy 19-06-2007 08:53 AM

The outdoor racing is at Wiggington as shown on the map.

The outdoor Regional is at Wiggington, I'm not sure of the address but will try and get it up.

On another note this Saturday (23rd) we are back racing indoors at Huntington school.

From me: Is it still the same venue as last year (interference city) or will it be somewhere else in wiggington?

From the missus: Will there be toilet facilities at the venue, which we will have a key to access?

Chris - if its the same as usual, there's a set of portacabins that are open for the entire weekend with toilets and sinks in. Separate male and female too... thankfully.

super__dan 19-06-2007 01:17 PM

It is the same place as previous years. After last years interference fiasco for me, I hope my luck has changed this year!

I advise everyone to fully charge their tranny or bring new duracells!

Lee 19-06-2007 01:29 PM

What was the problem with interference, is the track huge and they go out of range or is there a metal fence? or power cables under the field?

Richard Lowe 19-06-2007 01:45 PM

Half the national grid is under the field :D

Not entirely true.. General Rule 10 in the handbook states
10. Radio Equipment
The BRCA recognises the UKRCC as the national authority for the UK on radio equipment. The BRCA will work within the rules and guidelines specified by the UKRCC RC.
Equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines. Any modification to any component that may affect performance and/or power of original equipments is specifically not allowed. This applies especially to the aerial and power source.
Only published frequencies are allowed (see Handbook). The reversal of crystals is not allowed
So if you're changing the power source of the transmitter, you need to check that you don't exceed the operating voltage range, as stated in the manual.
