little bit screetchy

hi, ran the car for the first time this weekend set up as per manual with nothing tweeked. Not sure how the car is supposed to sound but it does sound a bit screetchy until it reaches speed (completly smooth down the straight). Pinion mesh seems fine, although i havent tried a different gear yet.
any suggestions? or is this normal, slipper or diff settings perhaps

apart from that the car is wicked and am very pleased with it

sounds like the diff is abit loose, hold the front wheels in your legs (squeese together) hold the left rear wheel tight and try to tur the right rear wheel, if you can check to see what it is.

If the slipper plates move it is the slipper, if not then it is the differential.. tighten either up bit by bit as shaft drive transmission are very sensitive to adjustment ive found.

Definitely sounds like the diff slipping. We found the diff settings to be very fine and they need just the right adjustment to keep them reasonably free but without slipping.

I usually test it by putting the car on my lap and turn the spur gear. You should be able to just turn it with the car locked down on your lap - and the slipper should slip, not the diff(s)
